This Table Top Notch Blocks – Western Set is a wonderful open-ended resource that allows children to make their own customised constructions using their imaginations and the pieces provided. This set includes 85 pieces that connect together to create buildings, stairs, seats, bridges, walls and a number of other structures the children create.
 
This set is inspired by the hugely popular Notch Blocks Outdoor Construction Set by giving the children a smaller indoor version that they can construct in the classroom or play area. This allows them to apply what they learn using the different Notch Blocks set to the larger and smaller sets.
 
This Western set is great for learning about western culture and history and helps the children visualise what is being taught in a fun and hands on way. This also shows them the differences and similarities between west and east construction methods and themes. The set comes with a cardboard box that allows the set to be easily packed away at the end of each day or the constructions can be left out as great display pieces encouraging the children to continue the building and reminding them of what they have learned so far with the set.

Each of the pieces come is a solid plastic design that are durable to take a lot of wear and tear. They are lightweight for small hands with nice smooth finishes which make them feel great and connect with ease. The plastic provides a bit of flex and doesn’t chip, splinter or dent like wood does. Each of the plastic pieces are easy to clean by spraying them with disinfectant or a sanitiser and wiping them down after play. This will ensure no harmful viruses or bacteria are transferred from one child to the next ensuring they can play in a safe and healthy environment.
