The Soy Wax 1kg can be melted and poured into moulds to make candles. Soy wax is ecologically friendly and is grown from sustainable crops. Soy burns longer and cleaner than traditional candlewax and dose not produce black smoke.
 
Candle Making Instructions
• First prepare Candlewick 5m (see instructions bellow).
• Choose your container size. The volume of wax decreases after melting so you will need enough wax to fill the container plus 20% more.
• Melt the wax on a low heat, do not allow to smoke.
• Fasten the prepared wick to the bottom of the container using some melted wax.
• Pour the melted wax into the container and fill to 1cm below the top of the container.
• Use skewers to keep the wick centred at the top of the container.
• A small container will take approx. 4hrs to set.
Wick Preparation
• Boil 355mls of water and dissolve 2 tablespoons of standard iodised salt, 4 tablespoons of borax and remove from heat.
• Cut wick to your container length leaving a few centimetres excess.
• Place the wick lengths into the hot water solution and soak for 24hours.
• Rinse wick in cold water to remove any crystallised build up.
• Hang to dry for 48hours
• Dip the dry wicks into melted wax and then hang to dry. Dip a second time and hang to dry ensuring they are straight.
• Wick lengths are now ready to use.
