In Common Sense Science Plants, students will learn the basic traits of plants as well as:
- How plants make their own food (photosynthesis)
- How plants respond to stimuli (hydotropism/phototrophism)
- How plants reproduce
Students will then study the four main plant groups:
- Bryophytes
- Ferns
- Gymnosperms
- Angiosperms
Followed by a study of the different parts of plants:
- Seeds/Roots
- Stems/Leaves
- Flowers
Finally, they will study:
- Pollination
- Falling Leaves
- Tree Trunks
- Simple and Compound Leaves
