Notch Blocks are an excellent choice for building and construction. They are made of FSC certified eucalyptus wood, so are a sustainable choice for the environment. These Notch Blocks feature smooth sanded edges and notches that “lock” together – allowing for big structures and endless building possibilities.

This set includes blocks of varying shapes and sizes, with a total of 89 pieces. A great sized classroom set with plenty to share and encouraging group participation. The largest block measures 76cm long x 7.5cm wide and the smallest measures 15cm long x 7.5cm wide. This set includes a variety of shapes such as long and short straight pieces, rooftops, tunnels and more. This set also includes a set of 11 double-sided thick cardboard activity cards that show how the Notch Blocks can be used, key learning information like tunnels and care instructions.
These Notch Blocks are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use with proper care. They are made from a hardwood FSC eucalyptus timber. Suitable for children from the age of 3 years. As the notches lock together to allow for easy open-ended construction, children can develop social interaction and collaborative skills. They also promote hand-eye coordination, problem solving, basic motor and mathematical skills.

We recommend the following care instructions:Store in a cool, dry place when not in use and do not leave outdoors when not in use. The blocks will weather to a soft gray if used outdoors and this is a natural change in colour. Repeated exposure to water and sunlight will cause splitting and cracking as per all outdoor timber. Blocks do not have a finish, allowing the natural grain to be the point of contact by children when building, enhancing their experience with natural materials. You may need to lightly sand the blocks to bring back the original, smooth sanded feeling. Regular care of these blocks will ensure that they are beautiful to play with. Please note being a natural item the colour of the blocks may vary from set to set.
