New American Cursive Teaching Charts Sample

The New American Cursive Teaching Charts make great visual aids for the home or classroom. The charts feature letter illustrations for the entire cursive alphabet, along with copy words, and make an excellent supplement to our New American Cursive program.

New American Cursive is an easy-to-follow resource for teaching beginning cursive. It presents simplified letter forms, using multi-sensory methods to aid in the learning of motor skills necessary to write well. Developed by Iris Hatfield, with over 35 years of experience in the handwriting field, the program improves the process of teaching handwriting and allows students to start at a younger age.

The simplified strokes and letter forms allow first grade students to truly master beautiful cursive. Schools across the country use NAC with amazing results. Every child can master cursive in the first grade, and many of our first graders write better than typical third graders. Learning cursive early ensures that students are not slowed down or frustrated in the upper grades when they are focusing on other subjects, such as grammar and composition.

Our New American Cursive Teaching Charts represent another wonderful addition to the popular program. In addition to our helpful guides, you can now use these charts in your home or classroom to illustrate the cursive that your student is learning. Learn more about New American Cursive on their website. As an expressive form of communication, cursive writing is more “you” than any printed piece could hope to be!
