The beads come as round beads, square beads and ribbed beads. Beading promotes good use of fine motor skills, concentration and creative skills. This encourages children to continue creating and crafting. When children bead it brings a soothing effect on them, they thread the beads & choose their arrangement. Its also a great maths skill as children create patterns, for instance counting colours then switching to another colour and so on. The beads range in size from the smallest 10mm x 10mm to the largest 15mm x 16mm. The largest square shape bead is 14mm x 14.5mm.
