Quality convex glass mirror that demonstrates image distortions. Convex mirrors reflect light outwards. Therefore they are not used to focus light. The image is smaller than the object, but gets larger as the object approaches the mirror. One example of a convex mirror is the passenger side mirror of a car. Often, you will see a warning label on these mirrors stating “objects in the mirror are closer than they appear”. This is a direct effect of the distorting effects of the convex mirror on the distance perception. Diameter of mirror measures 5cm
