Level A Student Drills Sample
Level A Teacher Key SampleOur goal for math in the primary grades is the mastery of basic facts. One of the most effective ways to help students achieve mastery is simply to practice. With daily timed drills, Memoria Math Challenge is designed to give students that math practice and also to help the teacher measure students’ immediate recall. We start with addition, subtraction, and number dictation in kindergarten, and ramp up to 200 daily problems by the end of first grade. If students are able to master their math facts in the primary years, they can devote more time to complex math operations in grammar school and upper school.
Memoria Math Challenge: Level A focuses on writing numbers, counting, and addition and subtraction facts up to seven and is organized in an easy-to-use loose leaf format.
Train young students to properly set up a math notebook with this 2″ by 2″ graph paper. Students can practice organizing problems, correctly sizing numbers, and writing in orderly rows as they complete their math work. Instilling good habits of neat math work in the younger years cuts down on careless mistakes in higher-level math. Printed in light blue ink that is not distracting and does not blend in with pencil marks.
