Multicoloured Prints:
Experiment with different papers and printing inks. Print on black or Kraft paper using white paint, hand colour finished prints, and experiment with using multiple colours on the printing block.
 
Reduction Printing:
Carve your design from a print block. Take a print (always start with a light colour). Carve extra details from the original block, then print over the original print using a darker colour. You will see areas from the first and then areas from the second print.
 
Chine-Collé Printing:
Add interesting effects and depths to your design by printing on a variety of paper surfaces. Experiment with these backgrounds: Create a collage of torn tissue paper, use sheets of metallic papers, pre-printed papers or painted backgrounds to vary the results.
