"Dot and the Kangaroo" is a children's fantasy novel written by Ethel C. Pedley, first published in 1899. The story follows the adventures of a five-year-old girl named Dot, who is lost in the Australian outback. The kind grey kangaroo who takes care of Dot on their adventures gives her special berries, so she can understand and talk to all the creatures in the bush.
