A natural progression from Bob Books Sets 1 and 2, in Set 3 kids encounter stories with longer endings; y, ed, and ing. Longer words with 4 or 5 letters can still be sounded out; repetition of sounds and words throughout the books really help children succeed as well. Sight words (listed in each book so you can point them out) become easier as children learn to anticipate words in the context of the story.
