The Convex mirror has a diameter of 7.5cm and a focal length of 75mm. The mirror is optically worked, and comes with silvered back with protective coating. A convex mirror is a curved mirror in which the reflective surface bulges toward the light source. Convex mirrors reflect light outwards, therefore they are not used to focus light. The image is smaller than the object, but gets larger as the object approaches the mirror. One example of a convex mirror is the passenger side mirror of a car. Often, you will see a warning label on these mirrors stating objects in the mirror are closer than they appear”. This is a direct effect of the distorting effects of the convex mirror on the distance perception.
