A Tree is Nice by Janice May Udrywon the Caldecott Honor Medal in 1957 and continues to be adored by young readers for its joyful recounting of the many reasons to love trees. Throughout the pages of the book young readers learn that you can climb a tree, or pick apples from it, or hang a swing in it, or have a picnic under it.
